Estuary Splendour

Residential New

Clients were attracted to this block with it’s old beach shack and magnificent views of the estuary at the entrance of beautiful Coffs Creek. It was only a few hundred metres to the beach and an easy walk to the famous jetty area with it’s abundance of restaurants.  The concern was how to accommodate their family of 6 comfortably with 3 vehicles while capturing the views on this 419m2 block. Richard Malcolm from design studio 22, assured them he could create their beachside dream and include the swimming pool they were so accustom to. This was enough to motivate them to purchase and clear the site, while engaging Richard to start immediately!

The result is an outstanding family home which spills onto the adjoining beachside environment, captures the views and encompasses a multitude of internal and external living spaces.

The four children are accommodated upstairs with separate recreation and study spaces while the parent’s retreat is located privately at the rear along with a 3 car garage off the lane.

An amazing pool area at the rear and an enormous alfresco deck at the front of the building are cleverly linked to the voluminous kitchen, living and dining areas. Kate Lane, interior designer, from design studio 22 worked carefully with the clients to enhance the design features with an amazing colour palette and choice of lightweight materials assist with the beachside feel.

This spacious family home makes optimum use of the limited footprint available on this site.
