Beaver Creek Horse Stud

‘This is a sneak peak of this amazing project as clients are still putting the finishing touches to their home and stables. The owners purchased a character filled older home on acreage which had been built from local timbers milled from the property and they were planning on making this their home in a few years. While still rented out the owners received devastating news that their beautiful home had been burnt to the ground but fortunately no one was injured.

After a few months they picked themselves up and approached design studio 22 to design them a fabulous new home, stables and managers residence. Their love of natural materials flows through this amazing design which captures the view, aspect and passive solar influences beautifully. Windows are strategically places and the polished concrete floor forms a wonderful heat bank during the cool winter days. The use of stone, beautiful raw ironbark timber and corten steel means this home will settle gracefully into the landscape and give the appearance of having been there for many years. This project is a wonderful example of building designer, interior designer and client working in harmony to create a unified holistic living environment.’
