different disciplines working together to create innovative holistic designs. To this end they
have attracted a professional team of talented designers who collaborate to create

Philosophy
design studio 22 has developed a reputation for maintaining a strong relationship between
our environment, landscape and structure in all of its projects.
The site and context of each project we consider is unique and provides a strong point of
differentiation for each design. Whether it be a private home or a business we work with our
clients closely to provide concepts and a design that is just right for them.
Ethics
We focus on ethics, environmental responsibility and sourcing local materials and skills.
We aim to keep lines of communication open and consider strongly the needs of fellow
team members, clients and project associates. We follow principles of consistently upholding
the professional standards of the studio to all associated with us.
Environment
design studio 22 strives for eco-effective and beautiful design solutions. We like to encourage
our clients to think about simple yet essential solutions regarding designing, building and
living within our environments, i.e. the use of embodied energy (local materials, local skills,
long life materials, scale of the building and minimizing disturbance to native habitat),
energy saving through use of natural light, low energy fittings, natural ventilation and space,
passive solar heating and solar cooling and ways of collecting and storing water.
